Your Childs First Musical Steps

Give your child the musical advantage that will help them excel at any instrument. Children learn the foundation of rhythm and timing using clapping and tapping patterns. Next they move on to percussion instruments such as rhythm sticks, shakers and tambourines to apply musical patterns over songs.

Children age four to seven enter the pre-schematic stage of artistic learning and if they gain an understanding of music at this age it plants a musical seed that will continue to grow their entire life.

Children get their first music lessons for piano, guitar, ukulele, singing and drums. When a child is exposed to instruments at a young age and learn the basics of each they can easily decide which instruments are a perfect match for them. Many children go on to play several instruments!
