Historical Significance of Maqam-e-Ibrahim in Islam

Every religious point has its own significance in Islam. Allah (SWT) has created everything with a purpose and religious places are also for our enlightenment. Maqam-e-Ibrahim is among one of the most sacred places on earth and Muslims are well-aware of its importance in Islam. Maqam is an Arabic word that means “a place where the feet of a person are placed while standing”. Maqam-e-Ibrahim is also known as the “Station of Ibrahim”. It was the point where Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) stood when he was building the House of Allah (SWT). Hazrat Ismail (A.S) was passing stones to Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and the walls began to rose.
