i normally play a four sting in a drop d tuning band (DADG) how would i u se this tuning for 5 string? would i keep the B or would i drop it to A?

There are several ways to accomplish this. You can just tune the four strings to drop D and forget the B, or you can do some thing like A D A D G. Work with it a little and see what's comfy for you.
