 TIPS FROM JOHN McCARTHY
The Beginner Ear Trainer contains five different types of intervals Major 3rd, Minor 3rd, Perfect 5th, Unisons and Octaves. Use this tool until you can clearly define these intervals before moving to the Intermediate level. The Intermediate Ear Trainer add into the mix Major 7th, b7 and b5 intervals and will help get you to the next level while the Advanced Ear Trainer will really challenge you with m2, M2, Perfect 4th, m6, and M6 intervals added to everything else you had in the previous levels.

Use this tool continuously until you can identify each interval quickly and correctly. This is a vital part your total musicianship.
